Yes! You are still suitable for lip blush treatment, we just recommend taking anti-viral medication for 5 days before and 5 days after treatment (please consult with your GP). Sometimes lip blush can trigger an outbreak therefore the anti-virals should greatly reduce the chances of an outbreak during the healing process. Lip blush will redefine your vermillion border (lip line), correcting asymmetry possibly caused by scarring, alongside many other benefits of lip blush.

The choice is yours really but it’s important to consider your natural lip colour and skin tone to ensure your lip blush compliments your complexion and features. We will analyse this at your consultation & patch test appointment. We can also try to echo your go to lip liner/lipstick so bring them along for us to colour match! It’s worth noting that colours very close to your natural colour will probably need require a colour boost annually, whereas choosing a colour that is perhaps 2/3 shades bolder than your natural colour, a colour boost may not be needed for a couple of years or more.

Yes! They are a match made in heaven. Whilst filler will add volume to your lips, lip blush will add a beautiful flush of colour and create more definition by crisping up your lip line and cupid’s bow. If you’ve not had filler before but are thinking about it, we advise doing lip blush first because this is the more permanent treatment of the two. However if you’ve already got filler, that is fine too! Please allow a minimum of 3 weeks between lip filler and lip blush treatments.

You can expect some swelling after treatment however this should subside within a few hours, if not the next day. Day 1-2 your lips will look bolder than your desired colour, they will begin to dry up and day 3-5 you will experience peeling/shedding of the lips, this can make them look patchy. It’s important not to pull this off, let it flake away naturally. Day 5-7 the flaking should have finished and your lip blush will look a few shades lighter. Keep them moisturised and drink plenty of fluids. At around day 28, the colour will have fully settled in the tissue and be popping again after the initial flaking. Healed lip blush tends to be up to 40% lighter than when it was first tattooed. All aftercare products are provided for the healing process with written instructions as to how to care for them.
